Some of my fondest memories are ones spent cooking, painting, shopping and especially laughing with Karen during the year she and Andy spent in Montreal. Almost ten years later, while visiting them in Vancouver, I enjoyed those same activities with Karen just as much.

I will always remember her laugh, her kindness and the amazing amount of light and love she exuded and shared with her family and friends.

I am forever thankful to Karen for initiating me to art, which has been an essential part of my life for the past 10 years, for being such an inspiring role model and for teaching me how to paint my nails!

Karen, I miss you immensely.
